Smoothies look weird to some people; but not to me. I just love the idea of ” Salad in a Cup”. Smoothies are basically a kick-start breakfast for me on weekdays and a quick snack on weekends; especially in summer. This watermelon strawberry smoothie is perfect for hot summer days, powered with the addition of spinach.
I keep on experimenting with different ingredients including seasonal fruits, dried fruits, and nuts, vegetables and seeds. This one is my recent favorite vitamin and mineral rich watermelon strawberry green smoothie. I love eating watermelon, but I cannot avoid adding watermelon to my smoothies. Watermelon is quite nutritious and very hydrating. It tastes so good when combined with other mild ingredients for smoothies or any other recipes. But make sure to use mild tasting leafy greens like baby spinach or baby arugula and avoid kale for retaining the taste of watermelon in smoothies. So I have combined watermelon, strawberry and baby spinach for this nice green watermelon strawberry smoothie recipe.
This combination of watermelon, strawberry and baby spinach is yummy. I have used unsweetened almond milk but you can use any nut milk of your choice as well as soy milk for added benefits. But if you want to make it little light and mineral rich then you can go for coconut water too.

- ½ medium banana (sliced).
- 2 cup baby spinach.
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk.
