So it’s quite necessary to make some changes in diet too . Healthy snacks are as important as healthy meals; although there are various healthy snack options available but these no bake energy bites are perfect on the go snack which you can carry with you.
These chewy energy bites are not just perfect for snacking but can also acts like on the go breakfast option. These no bake energy bites are not just for kids are equally popular among adults. You can have these energy bites as a pre-workout snack or during hiking or biking; because these bites can boost your energy levels. The best part is that you can make them in a single go for the entire week ahead. I will be making these bites again for my upcoming long weekend trip.
I don’t like the taste of raw oats so I have used the toasted oats but you can use raw ones if you like. Also you can replace honey with maple syrup or agave nectar for vegan option. Here is the recipe of these no bake energy bites with oats and puffed rice. You can easily prepare and roll these together with your kids; and kids more likely to eat what they prepared.
- ½ cup smooth, natural peanut putter.
- ¼ cup honey.
- 1 cup quick cooking oats (toasted/raw).
- 1½ cups puffed rice cereal.
- ¼ cup dried cranberries.
- ¼ cup raisins.
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder.
- 3 tsp chia seeds.
- 1 tbsp sunflower seeds.
- Mix together all the ingredients in a large bowl.
- Shape into balls about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place in the air-tight container.
